In an increasingly global economy, never before has education been more important to the viability of our nation. Our education system has many challenges including overcrowded schools, socioeconomically disadvantaged students, non-english speaking students, minority achievement gaps, and unacceptable dropout rates. Money invested in education pays dividends in the health and well being of our citizens. Education improves pay and lowers crime.

To Promote responsible and respectful governance and appropriate educational support by elected bodies representing Orange County, North Carolina.

Goals

• To promote open and responsive government, accessible to all
• To provide a place for citizens to promote and share concerns about our community and governance
• To serve as an internet location which hosts documents and enables group-building around important issues
